How you join
-
A Base Admin invites you
Each base has an admin who sets up its helpers. They meet you in person and check your identity and your role before your account works.
-
You sign in with two steps
You use your email, a password and a code from an authenticator app. Your phone or computer also gets its own encryption keys.
-
You agree to the Code of Conduct
You read and accept it the first time you sign in, and again every year.
Responder Code of Conduct
- I will only use ClearSix within the rules of my role and my license.
- I will never try to identify a member unless I start Safety Locate for an imminent risk to life.
- I will only start Safety Locate when I believe someone's life is in immediate danger, and I will write an honest reason.
- I will not copy, screenshot or share conversations.
- I understand every Safety Locate use is reviewed.
What you see
- A made-up name for each member. You see their real name only if they choose to share it.
- Their check-in answers only if they choose to send them to you.
- Requests for your type of helper at your base, and from other bases in your region when no one else is free.
Safety Locate
Only MFLCs and licensed counselors can start Safety Locate, and only with members who turned it on. You choose a reason, write why, and confirm with your device lock. Every use goes to a Safety Officer for review within 72 hours. Chaplains and peer supporters can ask a member to share their location, and the member decides.
Before you start
If you are a government employee or contractor, ask your own chain whether you may use a service that is not run by the Department of Defense for this work.
